Volks,

I will shortly replace the plastic shifter parts for the shifter stick
up front on my manual tranny 88 GL. I've heard it can be a bit tricky
getting things working right again after disturbing the adjustments.

If anyone has any tips and tricks on how best to do this, pitfalls, best
lubricant for the parts, etc., I would really appreciate hearing from
you about it.
