I recently put a Shurflo faucet in my Westy. I've been wanting one for quite a while. I never have used the city water connection. The stock Westy faucet has these problems IMO: water comes out at one speed which almost all the time it too fast and in too powerful of a stream. If you try to use it directly, it splashes all over the place and drains the tank too fast. I took to keeping a plastic drink cup in the sink to put water in and then used that to rinse dishes, brush teeth, etc. The knob is also hard to turn with wet soapy hands. I guess those are my complaints. I had a saved search on ebay for a couple years that was always out there looking for a bargain on a Shurflo for me and it finally found me one. There was a seller that apparently was going through new old stock from an RV place. I think I paid less than $25 including shipping to my door. There is a date on the unit I got that is in the early 2000's, but it was definitely new. I put it in using the "door bumpers" method that someone on this list had pictures of. Pretty easy job. The Shurflo swivels and pivots all over the place like the stock faucet. I think it might have a little longer "reach." I think the best thing about the Shurflo is the adjustable flow rate. You can have just a trickle, and on full blast it seems to put out quite a bit more than the original faucet. The control is easy to use, even with slippery hands. This is definitely a worthwhile upgrade in my opinion. Edward
