Hey, no worries at all. :) Yeah, scraping is at the steering wheel. So just hit the contact point with some WD-40? I also checked the PS fluid reservoir while running and it's low. And it's the van that's running. Not me. :0) Had to beat you to that one LOL. Not empty, but an inch or so below the min line. I'm off to Auto Zone to get some fluid now. I didn't mention earlier that my mom is in town and I've been running errands all day with her. So yeah, the stress...... :0) On Wednesday, April 15, 2009, AD Felder <dieseldoofus@yahoo.com> wrote: > Well if you are about to get married I can understand how you might be a little stressed, sorry. Is the scraping sound at the steering wheel or underneath? I just solved a scraping sound at the wheel by lube-ing the horn contact, but it was not a really loud noise, so I think you might be dealing with something else. > > --- On Wed, 4/15/09, Matt Drew <t3vanagon@GMAIL.COM> wrote: > > From: Matt Drew <t3vanagon@GMAIL.COM> > Subject: Re: Scraping sound turning the wheel > To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM > Date: Wednesday, April 15, 2009, 5:09 PM > > As a matter of fact I do. > > Thank you for the completely worthless response. > > I asked the question because the woman to whom I'm getting married on > Saturday and her wedding party are using the Vanagon as transportation > to get their hair and makeup done the morning of the wedding, rather > than a limo.
