I had a scraping sound at the wheel and a while back I actually took the steering wheel off to get access to the ignition switch. When I replaced the steering wheel, I did three things: I cleaned up all the pieces and contacts, I used electrical lube on the contacts, and I replaced everything according to instructions/specs in Bentley. I'm not sure which of these actually remedied the problem, but since then I've not had the scraping noise. -Jarrett 89 Westy On Apr 15, 2009, at 7:55 PM, Matt Drew wrote: > Picked me up a tube of Master Electrical Connection Lubricant. > > Just gotta get home and slather up! > (not really gonna slather) > > On Wednesday, April 15, 2009, azsun99 <azsun99@earthlink.net> wrote: >> I agree no WD-40, but better than grease might be something like >> BoeShield or Dupont >> Teflon Multi-Use Dry, Wax lubricant.
