Definitely stop at Van-Cafe in Santa Cruz. Those guys are cool and very helpful. I camped at a state park nearby (I think it is called New Brighton Beach). Lots of cliffs and quiet camping. I made some great sunrise and sunset photos there. Warren in Santa Fe 88 Westy
