Why?/  the old CIS system wasn't real good to begin with and many  parts
are NLA.  why go back in time  Vw themselves quit using it in  1989  so the
system has been out of use for at least 18 years.  It was  bad for the
injectors leaking and the fuel dizzy getting clogged after setting  for any time.
If you didn't let it sit for long it worked OK.  just  my #.02 worth  later
