The PN's mat be different but they interchange fine.

The Digifant AFM has a temp sensor in the air stream, so it technically does
measure air mass with the combination of the flapper and the temp sensor.

not so

Air Flow Meter

86-92 Vanagon B3130-13055 (Bosch) VW 025 906 301C
                Bosch 0 280 202 079

89-92 Golf B3130-24461 (Bosch) VW 037 906 301
                Bosch 0 280 202 106

just to add some clarification to the orginal post the Digifant II system
does not use a MAF (mass air flow sensor). it uses an AFM (air flow
meter). a MAF uses the hot wire not a flapper door like a AFM.

i know that some of the hotrod vw guys like to use a BMW AFM made by
bosch. it bolts right up but the resistance values are different which
means in basic terms different amounts of fuel are pumped in the engine.

MAF used in the 2.1 wbx? I know the airboxes are different. It looks like
the MAF and the airbox can be seperated. Thanx...
