but in my mind i was playing imaginary guitar ...
and singing ....

i could see ashland and medford in my rear view mirror
fading also into my memory
i cried that i would never know such beauty again
or such mechanical genius as i discovered in the quonset

i had no idea of what lay before me
strait road or curved

chico or weed
when i left i said i go south to la and then turn left
now i found my lefts were calling me more often ...
each time to a new delight

and after the rest of the country was in my mirror
my lefts still called me
and 101 became my route north

leaving oregon ...
heck no i live in canada ...
indeed BC
