As the graphics suggest, the inspiration is no doubt the UrQuattro from the early to mid-80's. Those are Quattro wheels by Ronal. I agree that those appear to be plexi-windows like some of the Sport Quattros had.

I have toyed with the idea of one-piece windows for my Vanagon doors. So far not economically practical.
