We have the following problem on our 86 vanagon.

Idle runs Up and down especially when cold. From about 1200 RPM's to 2500
RPM'S. less once warmed up at about 1200.

It also is running rich.

adjustments were tried. And ICU was tried w/o affect.

We have been given the following recommendation by 2 highly qualified
Vanagon owners/ mechanics.

throttle postioning switch

oxygen sensor

fuel injectors

can anyone add anything to this that might help us.
