Speaking of Dragon Boat races, the first in our area will be held on Lake Weiss near Centre, Alabama (north, Georgia border) as part of a three-day paddle of the lake conducted by the Alabama Scenic River Trail. Find out more at www.alabamascenicrivertrail.com. Food, camping, entertainment and shuttles for only $35, great deal on outfitting too. The boat race is not a sanctioned one, but more for fun. I would love to finally see another vanagon at one of our events!
