The good news on this issue of proper cut off angle is that I just found a site that sells a product which when used with HID replacement lights suppibly provides the right cut off angle. http://www.casperselectronics.com/store2/product_info.php?products_id=693 They are $25 per light, so you need two for a 2 beam system which comes to $50. But this would allow for the use of a standard 7" hella light with an HID system. I also found that there several sites that sell 7" round projector lights. I am planning to hit the car yards and see if I can find anything. Scouring the web I found a couple of post from people stating that the projector lens really improves the light projection even with an H4 bulb.
