I just found that same company from a Samba thread. I have been using long H&R lug bolts, but the larger wheels and tires are difficult to get centered an attached. I took the van in for inspection and on the way home the fronts were out of round. The shop guy just threw them on and didn't get them centered. I figure the studs will make it a bit easier for all. Thanks. df ________________________________ From: mark drillock <mdrillock@cox.net> To: dylan friedman <insyncro@YAHOO.COM> Cc: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM Sent: Sunday, June 7, 2009 10:14:05 AM Subject: Re: 2wd front stud conversion Sure. Best way to go for thicker alloy wheels rather than longer bolts, since then the same nuts work front and rear like on Syncro. 2 sizes avail of interest. http://www.prestigewheel.com/cgi-bin/commerce.exe?preadd=action&key=2890L http://www.prestigewheel.com/cgi-bin/commerce.exe?preadd=action&key=2890xl Mark dylan friedman wrote: > Anyone converted the front wheels of a 2wd van over to studs? > Where did you get them in the US? > > dylan >
