did you notice a backfire or other exhaust noise lately? a plugged CAT can cause a no run situation when you have fuel and spark...whack the cat, does it sound like anything broken inside? Put you hand on the taipipe. Have someone crank it over. Any sign of compression getting to the tailpipe? ----- lately I've been seeing a lot of flakey 2.1 distributors... but when the hall sensor is bad you get no spark so your dizzy is probably ok. ---------- Original Message ---------------------------------- From: Larry Alofs <lalofs@GMAIL.COM> Reply-To: Larry Alofs <lalofs@GMAIL.COM> Date: Mon, 8 Jun 2009 19:06:38 -0500 >A few things occur to me: > >Was there gas at the tee, or could you have been measuring air pressure? > >When checking voltage pulses at the injectors, be sure to measure >between the two injector wires; 12v should be on one continuously; the >other gets intermittent ground from the ECU. > >Are your spark plugs in reasonably good shape? > >HTH >Larry A. > > > >On Mon, Jun 8, 2009 at 6:17 PM, Darren Lastfogel<vr6vanagon@hotmail.com> wrote: >> Started the van today, Drove 100 yds and it died. I was on my to fill up cause I was very low, so I thought I ran out of gas. I put in some new gas And It would not start, Checked my fuel pressure at the T and it was 35 psi I pinched the return line and watched it go over 80 before I released it, I checked spark and had it , Checked compression all over 110 psi, I checked voltage at the injectors with a dc voltage detector and saw it pulsing but still the van would not fire, not even try to fire. >> >> >> Spark, Compression, Fuel, Air >> What am I missing? >> >> Darren >> Rockford MI >> _________________________________________________________________ >> Insert movie times and more without leaving Hotmail. >> http://windowslive.com/Tutorial/Hotmail/QuickAdd?ocid=TXT_TAGLM_WL_HM_Tutorial_QuickAdd_062009 >
