What colour is the sparks?

That sound like a spark/timing problem.

Any engine in the world will at least do something with fuel, THE RIGHT
SPARKS and air...

You have fuel pressure! Air, well, it's rarely a problem, now make sure your
sparks is right.

A sudden lost of power like you had is cause by an electric problem or a
mechanical failure of the distributor.
