Not wanting to deal with a bloated spare fitment issue, I thought
about buying a used Mercedes mini spare to stick under the
Vanagon clamshell since my other wheels will be the drilled out
Mercedes  16" alloys.

1. What percentage of Mercedes  cars use the 5x112mm bolt
pattern?   A lot of the spares on ebay etc. don't get real detailed
on the size etc.
2. Will the mini spare do okay with Vanagon  GL weight for short periods?
3.  Will it fit over the Small car  big brake calipers?
4.  Has anyone else tried this and whith what results?
