The hot springs and campground northwest of Bridgeport are called Buckeye. Take Twin Lakes Road 7.1 miles to Doc & Al's campground and turn right onto dirt road and go 4 miles up from the valley floor. Cross over a one-lane bridge, take the second dirt road on the right. Park on the right and scramble down the aforementioned embankment to the hot spring by the river. The Buckeye campground is nearby and very nice. If I recall, Sept is hunting season. Also, near Travertine Hot Springs there is a shooting range...I was soaking in the pool one morning and a bullet whizzed right over my head! Enjoy!
