The solution is to put the sailboat behind the westy and head to Florida once winter hits.

Used to do that for Christmas recess while in college, but with a Hobie cat, tent and sleeping bag. Camped off the beaches of Everglades Cape Sable and along the Florida keys. Your boat seems like pure luxury to me; a westy on the water!
