I just spoke to Mary. Mike is somewhat better in some ways, but he's not out of the woods. It's possible he may be released from ICU sometime over the weekend. He's at least well enough to be tired of the food; and God willing it looks as though he will survive this and hopefully make a good recovery. The doctors still know more about what he hasn't got than what he has (other than pneumonia; one lobe in one lung and two in the other). I've been forwarding all your notes to Mary so she can read them to him. He is very pleased and grateful to hear from you all. Incidentally I will be visiting Arlington National Cemetary for the second time tomorrow; the first was for President Kennedy's funeral, and tomorrow is for my dad's. -- David Beierl - Providence RI USA -- http://pws.prserv.net/synergy/Vanagon/ '89 Po' White Star "Scamp"
