Jeeze, a Westy with a blown motor is still worth a lot considering the swap possibilities. Problem is the vehicle must be crushed, not resold. I don't know why the PO didn't strip the camping stuff out before turning it in. -----Original Message----- From: Vanagon Mailing List [mailto:vanagon@gerry.vanagon.com] On Behalf Of Jeff Lincoln Sent: Friday, August 21, 2009 10:18 AM To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM Subject: Re: Another C4C vanagon, this time at a VW dealer in Catonsville, MD This just makes me sick! Today is not the day (well no day would be good) for me to be seeing a Westy that will, or already has, had the engine destroyed and appears to be in decent shape. I understand the idea of the program (and don't wish to start a debate) but like most things it seems it wasn't thought out completely and has caused a lot of waste. Assuming that Westy ran decently - I really could have used that engine right about now. -- Thanks, Jeff '90 Carat (Grover) '86 (We call this one Parts) '78 Bus (Melissa) Patty's Bus
