Interesting. According to Oregon Revised Statutes, Chapter 480
Explosives; Flammable Materials; Pressure Vessels
(http://www.leg.state.or.us/ors/480.html):

480.330 Operation of gasoline dispensing device by public
prohibited; aviation fuel exception. An owner, operator or employee of a
filling station, service station, garage or other dispensary where Class 1
flammable liquids, except aviation fuels, are dispensed at retail may not
permit any person other than the owner, operator or employee to use or
manipulate any pump, hose, pipe or other device for dispensing the liquids
into the fuel tank of a motor vehicle or other retail container. [Amended
by 2001 c.285 1]

ORS 480.349 says that motorcyclists can pump the fuel themselves once the
owner, operator or employee has handed the nozzle to them, but nuttin'
about vintage autos. The word "vintage" does not even appear on the
Chapter 480 statutes page.

Can someone point me to the OR statute that allows me to pump my own gas
if my vehicle is vintage?

Then next I have to get a vintage auto and the execution of my plan to
pump my own gas in Oregon will be complete!

BWA-HAHAHAHA . . . wait -- I liked it when someone pumped the gas for me
prior to the 1973 Oil Crisis which pretty much ended full-service gas
stations, in California, anyway.

The Diesel fuel exemption is an easy one, as it is not a Class 1 flammable
liquid.
