Dusty hostile enviornments are exactly what Vans are supposed to be used for. Seriously, if you can't take a Vanagon to some 'so-called" non-mainstream gathering in the desert, what can you take?...Range Rover? Humvee? Jeep Grand vitarra? If you only drive on freeways because you don't want to 'hurt" it...dunno bout that. I've seen Ferraris driving around in Baja, people camping out of fancy BMWs, Euro's traveling in $100k Mercedes 'Dakar' style trucks around the Southwest.....Taking a van outback in Nevada isn't gonna bust the bank...Just hose it out after and change the filters, etc. Don Hanson On Fri, Aug 21, 2009 at 8:48 AM, Peter DiFalco <peter.difalco@gmail.com>wrote: > I have so many friends who have been going to Burningman for the last 5 to > ten years, and I've always had either money or time but never both.
