I have an inflated 215/75R15 BFG for my spare. There was a discussion re: spare tire mounting on TheSamba about a month ago and someone posted a link to a prior posting with photo's and measurements on how to modify the clamshell for this. I do not know who's posting on TheSamba it was but it may have been Seth's or someone that had used his method. It is a tight fit but does work. If someone needs a copy I may still have it saved and could forward the link to them. Not having the necessary tools and time available I had mine done by a local shop but looking at the instructions it is not difficult though cutting and welding is involved.
