Yeah, well, the matter of disposal does rear its ugly head.
But this is only a two-night trip so I don't think anything fancier than
the 5-gallon paint bucket is called for, tho' that Thetford does look
mighty luxurious. And I'm leaving on Friday so finding a Thetford in the
amount of time I have looks dodgy. Besides, I found a used (but clean, so
hold your "Eeews") 5-gallon bucket commode for only $10. Take THAT $80
fancy yuppie Thetford 135!
Doc will evaluate my foot first week of September and give thumbs up/down
on starting to weight-bear. If he thumbs-down, then no 'blem 'cause
camping season's gonna be ending shortly anyway and bucket potty will
suffice; if he gives thumbs-up then I'll be able to limp to the loo* next
season.
My plan is to use a couple nice strong bags per, er, event, toss in some
kitty litter to soak up liquids and stabilize the sullen mass, seal 'em,
and carry them -- gingerly -- home. Folk throw away dirty kid diapers, and
presumably adult diapers, too, so I reckon the municipal garbage
collection facilities can handle the return load. However, I will check.
