I refer back to an earlier post by another list member:  I usually
fill the tank from inside the van: faster, easier, no leaks. Okay, I
need a screwdriver to remove the cover in an '83 and up - takes what,
1 minute?  Was easier in my '80-'83 (under rear seat).  I have
experienced the dreaded "Vanagon dripping syndrome" and decided the
best workaround is to avoid it!  RV tank fillers and all, I am a
staunch supporter of using the inside track!
