Subject:Paint Code Help

Gentlemen, whenever I work on my AW, I use a very generous friend's
garage, which has three big bays I can fit into. A couple of days ago
I began the process of replacing my radiator, at said location. When
they saw that I was going to ride my vintage Schwinn, home, they
demanded that I take their 99 BMW M3, because it needed to be driven.
Now, please understand, my Schwinn is a fine ride, but when challenged
by the M3, it was a no brainer, so it was me and the Bimmer all the
way to the house.
I could have finished the radiator replacement, but, once the radiator
cavity was exposed, I discovered several spots of rust, so I decided
to to the POR 15 treatment. I drove home, forgetting to get the paint
code and I do wish to cover the POR treatment with the proper color.
So, now to the point of this dissertation......can my paint code be
divinated by some means, other than actually looking under the dash or
in the aux battery compartment?
It is a 91 L model, as I have heard it referred to, and came with the
tweed, armrestless, front captains chairs, full rubber mat in the
front, including the space between seats, non opening front wings,
metal dash.........could it be possible to discover the paint code
with only the aforementioned information? Please help me, or I will be
forced to drive that pesky M3 all the way back out there!!!!!
Miguel
PS Please excuse, at least temporarily, all my prior belligerence.......
