Subject:Friday NVC: basic Jetta AC question(s)

I need to recharge the AC in my 1991 Jetta TD. Which is the low
pressure side , the one near the compressor? Also, IIRC you have to
jumper the compressor switch to override the low pressure cutout. How
is that done?

Totally unrelated, but where is the switch located that operates the
trunk light?
