dear passing

the passing of a friend
unmet
so much like the two lane highway meeting of a fellow vanagon/westie
you look at one another after you catch up
smile
wave
peace sign ... maybe
once a photo exchange
digital pictures clicked through windows by passenger hands
named warren ... sure
all i really know for sure is they too had a VW Westie
they too were smiling
they to knew the same joy as i
motoring ... as you say ...
into the sunset...
they simply arrived before me ...
yours
