I think there was a recall on this ducting- maybe having to do with the att=
achment. It may not be in effect anymore=2C but sometimes recalls last for =
many years. I remember getting a Jetta years ago and even though it was qui=
te a few years old=2C it was still eligible for the heater core recall. You=
 might want to check with the dealer.

go to do some AC repair work in the evaporator.  When I took it down a lot =
of the plastic simply disintegrated so I had to fashion a bracket or 2 out =
of metal to hold the assembly in place as a way to substitute for the broke=
n plastic.  I see that I will need to disassemble the ducting again to see =
how I can fix it firmly in place.  The question I have is: is there anybody=
 out there that has new ducting or a viable substitute?? Any suggestions??
