Silicon sealants should never be used for an automatic tranny. The Chinese gasket that come in all these tranny kits do fit poorly. A good contact gasket adhesive used between the gasket and pan will help to make a good seal. Do not use any sealant that make a bead that squeezes out and then can make strings or beads that can fall into the oil. The filter is a remove and replace deal, nothing hard at all. To remove the filling tube you need a 24mm open wrench, and do not overtighten the pan bolts. I replaces mine with Allen head bolts, easier for me to work with while lying on my back. have fun.
