I encourage everybody to watch this film, to get the facts straight. People were begging to drop the leases and purchase these vehicles. And these "old EVs" were very good technology, especially relative to the era, which was not very long ago. --- On Thu, 10/8/09, Tom Hargrave <thargrav@HIWAAY.NET> wrote: From: Tom Hargrave <thargrav@HIWAAY.NET> Subject: Re: "Who Killed the Electric Car" NVC but timely..(sorry for off topic, moderators and list) To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM Date: Thursday, October 8, 2009, 11:10 PM They were squashed because GM decided to stop bleeding cash on the forever lease they were on. And today's electric technology is far superior to the old EVs anyway. In other words, holding on to the old EVs would be like VW holding on to the bay window bus instead of evolving to the van that was converted to your Vanagon! A documentary about EVs that were in production quite some time ago and 'squashed' by various special interests. Don Hanson
