I've been trying to follow this procedure outlined in a Samba post on my '89
Digijet DJ-code WBX with an O2 sensor.

Is this a good way to adjust?  What is the actual spring tension function
vs. the slider tweak?

After I installed newer injectors the engine smoothed out and idle settled,
but the bus lost power.  After I set the mixture best I could according to
the above procedure the engine has awakened.  I'm still not getting the
voltage at high RPM the procedure says I should.  I just want to make sure I
don't kill the engine.
