I use gmail too. Almost zero spam. But....

I only use my gmail address for this list and related pmails. i.e. I
NEVER use it for other internet based stuff. i.e. I joined facebook
using my HotSchmail address. Lo and behold, I am now getting
increasing amounts of daily spam there. Web bot's scour web sites like
FB for email addresses.

I also mark any spam I get as such in my gmail account.
