My gas gauge seems to be very accurate.  I can get down to the bottom of the
orange warning area and I believe that I have at least 40 miles left when I
am on top of the orange area. Haven't tried running out of gas, but when I
refill from bottom of orange area, I get the specfied amount on the pump
that my 2.1 holds. Guess I'm  lucky.  On a slant, of course the gauge reads
off.
