I like having rear window defrost.  The radiant heat wire ones aren't the
fastest in the world but if you are on more than a real quick trip they will
allow you to see out after a few minutes.   You can rewire them so they'll
go on without the ignition and then switch them on like 10mins before you
have to drive off..
