Since I have tinted windows, I never bothered checking mine. Just
assumed they, or wiring, were Gerfunktabooten.

One Fall evening, things finally got steamy enough to fog up. Flicked
the switch. Much to my surprise, they work.

Given ours are both pre '86 models, and mine has much higher miles on
it, I bet the strips themselves are fine.
