This is happening on my 2001 Ford F250 right now. The clip on the plug that holds the electrical connection nice and snug is broken. If I push the bulb into the socket nice and tight, the buld burns bright but when i let go, the bulb dims again. In my case, I need a new plug... Maybe you do too. Not that noticeable, but obviously dimmer. The high-beam seems equal. Last time I changed bulbs, I used Di-Electric grease and the contacts appeared clean. Any suggestions as to why the one bulb would be dimmer than the other? Thanks, Jack R. 84 Westy Wolfie Bloomfield Hills, MI
