Recently I foolishly reset the odometer while moving.......don't know what came over me, and now neither the resettable or regular odometer work. Speedo is fine. Before I shuffle off to the archive, are there any easy solutions for this problem? WD40, IMHO, ranks above amorall in the generating abuse department :) as for drying the vinyl dash by using wd40, i think an occasional swipe with a damp wd40 rag will not do much to leach out vinyl plasticizers. I bet having the dash sitting in the blazing sun does far more... but then again its such a subject of debate, especially when none if us are experts in the field of plastics. oh, and I also reset odometer when driving, so there :) alistair '86 syncro 7 passenger '82 westy, diesel converted to gas in '94 http://www.members.shaw.ca/albell/ On 26-Oct-09, at 11:49 AM, Jim Felder wrote: Soon you'll start resetting your odometer while you are driving.
