Has anyone every rebuilt their own pump.?

The price of these pumps is now over $300 in most places and over $400
in others. And thats remanufactured before core charge.
It makes the $12 or so for an overhaul kit and a little time look pretty
good.

Has anyone actually rebuilt their own using a rebuild kit?  Pictures?
