Folks,

I have had the problem with the metal wheel coming adrift of the shaft
in the odometer. (1986 Vanagon odometer) I reinstalled it all but had
a problem.
Can someone tell me whether the metal wheel/cog on the end of the
shaft has the multiple "teeth" on the inside or the outside please?  I
suspect I wasn't careful enough and can't quite find a suitable image
online.
Any help gratefully received.
