Homer Simpson had a good idea when he designed the perfect parents'
car. Perhaps a soundproofed compartment in the back?

I have had this problem myself (fortunately without accident) but am
guilty of having caused my father to run into a snowy ditch in the
Edmonton countryside a few decades ago. I'm sure that a LOT of very
nasty accidents are caused by this!
