Hello All Daisy, '82 Westy, does not like to run cold. I bought it with a weber conversion kit, which runs great when it is warm. Currently it takes about 10 minutes at idle to warm up. My thermostat is gone, but I have all the other essentials, boxes, flaps, etc. A couple of questions: Are there any thermostats on the market that work well (oem replacements) How does the Mexican replacement work (spring unit)? I understand this unit fails closed, which bothers me... Is there an easy way to install a manual system (like a manual choke) Thanks in advance for any and all suggestions and input.
