Depends on usage. Drive a little, leave it alone. Drive often, convert to EFI. Drive very often, engine swap. Very often/long trips, TDI swap :) -----Original Message----- From: Vanagon Mailing List [mailto:vanagon@gerry.vanagon.com] On Behalf Of Scott Oyer Sent: Wednesday, December 23, 2009 8:21 PM To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM Subject: Convert back to FI?? Hello everyone, I have recently purchased a 1981 Westy. It was not running but I do have it running now (fuel pump, two filters, alternator wiring and an alternator repair, and of course the magic start switch -- but it is running!). It has the 2.0 engine but someone had converted it to a Weber 2 barrel carb. Is it worth it to convert it back or am I better off leaving it carburated at this point? Thanks in advance. Scott Oyer
