Thanks for the comments and personal experiences. The Grand Cherokee is a
2005 model, rated for 11,000 pounds gross combined weight. 2WD, 4.7 V8.
Autotrans, with tow/haul feature.

Hickory to Augusta. No snow, ice, etc to worry. I have plenty of extra
ratcheting straps, too.

We will take our time and I think everything will be fine.
