It sure is funny that about 3/4ths of the time, people fail to mention WHERE their 87 GL for sale with leaking heater core/s is located. Big Factor, of course, in a purchase - WHERE the thing is ! 'some place with dust' is the only clue, that I can see anyway. well wouldn't you just know - I went to look for an additional posting before sending this, just in case the poster realized they left out that one important piece of info, but alas, they did not. good luck selling it. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Douglas and Annie Dodson-Muck" <primalflow@SUDDENLINK.NET> To: <vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM> Sent: Tuesday, January 05, 2010 4:00 PM Subject: '87 Vanagon GL- FOR SALE Greetings listers ;0) I have an '87 Vanagon GL that I purchased back in Sept. I'm asking $1,500. I currently do not have any pictures as the Van is a little dusty from driving the dirt roads to and from job sites and I would prefer to clean it up before I take any photos, yet I will provide images upon request. The odometer reads 188,408. It has a couple of issues that I'm aware of: oil leak of undetermined origin(s); most recently started producing heavy white smoke after initial start-up yet clears up after warm, there is also a coolant odor in the interior while running. In appearance it looks nearly identical to the van in these pics, yet is missing the rear bumper: http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://images.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/pix/thumbnails/1282476.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/cat.php%3Fid%3D55%26sort%3Ddate%26sort_order%3DDESC%26page%3D3&usg=__5o82ghbD3MNy73LIiBxBFlRMogk=&h=63&w=85&sz=3&hl=en&start=56&tbnid=wvI7taVBQ5kenM:&tbnh=56&tbnw=76&prev=/images%3Fq%3DVanagon%2BGL%2Btransporter%26gbv%3D2%26ndsp%3D18%26hl%3Den%26rlz%3D1B3GGGL_enUS243US245%26sa%3DN%26start%3D54 Harm None, Do What You Will We Can Build A Better World
