If you're going to Savanah I recommend checking out Tybee Island and its fabulous beach. We were there at the end of this October and loved the beach and the town. There is a private campground nearby which didn't impress us $35 a night for a poorly marked and close together tent sites. So we camped at a really nice/clean motel 5 minutes from the beach for 39.95 a night and parked the Westy at the beach everyday.
