Yes, very instructive.  Especially useful links to the other pages that
I've not seen before.
  I'd add my impressions and numbers to that survey on converted  inlines
but I  missed how to do that.
I am just collecting and planning a 'refresh' of my own inline (92
Jetta/Cabriolet in an 84 using the diesel parts) for sometime in the next
year or so.  Your post and the other links have provided me with lots of
answers and some good ideas.
