Pic showing LH threaded nut (turns opposite of standard fasteners) between reg to main valve. (there may be one on other end too): http://lh5.ggpht.com/_01e3MpPuKwI/SjLrWK9ifdI/AAAAAAAAAio/Ml5cpI1r-UE/s640/LPregulator2.jpg Old tank, guard removed. Wrench used to hold "T" block steady while undoing fasteners attaching parts to it. It seems that working on parts like this requires 2 wrenches. One to steady part, one to turn fastener. http://lh4.ggpht.com/_01e3MpPuKwI/Skz2eXdy05I/AAAAAAAAAv8/SZn_x9uwl7Q/s640/LPregulatorArrows.jpg Likely you read of this, but if the new regulator is a different length, lines at "T" block outlet may need to be changed or moved a little. In my case, even though lines only needed to be moved a little, I chose to have a pro change one line as it was kinked from previous work (PO's new reg. install). When replacing my tank, I saved money by removing it, purchasing new tank online, then mounting it to van. But.... I had LP guy install reg etc. I would suggest it's worth the $ to have a pro replace the regulator. If it's the same size as old one, shouldn't be too much labour.
