I'm using a digital voltmeter that plugs into a cigarette lighter socket. It cost me 15 bucks or so at Wally World. Driving with an average electrical load, the voltage reading is around 13.8. The elderly battery that I just replaced was dropping to around 12.3 or fewer volts overnight. Although starting wasn't a problem (yet) I replaced it anyway. Morning after voltage is now 12.8.
