I run Michelin Aguilles in size 205/65 R15 C. I think that size is 'nigh perfect.' I think the 205 / 70's would be 'too fat/big.' if there is some reason you really want a large tire, go with the 205 /70, but otherwise.... I've always like the proportions of that size tire, the 205/65 R 15. load and stiffness wise, the Agilles are way up there. The max load in lbs is plenty enough for a vanagon , I'm pretty sure. and they drive extra great ..........not for snow or ice, but dry and in the rain - excellent, Tracks unusually well, and has nice turn-in. Quite expensive though, and a little hard to find. ----- Original Message ----- From: "pdooley" <psdooley@VERIZON.NET> To: <vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM> Sent: Tuesday, January 26, 2010 2:07 PM Subject: Re: 15 inch wheels: tire size > Don't you want to talk about load rating instead? > > > -----Original Message----- > From: Vanagon Mailing List [mailto:vanagon@gerry.vanagon.com] On Behalf Of > M'obeechi > Sent: Tuesday, January 26, 2010 5:01 PM > To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM > Subject: 15 inch wheels: tire size > > I need to choose between 205 65 15 and 205 70 15. > > Where do the votes fall?
